3. I chose this book because it covers many topics that I don't necessarily know very much about, which in turn intrigues me to read into them. It seems to mention a lot about organically eating, and growing... which I support. I am also against our increasingly obese nation, and our lack of motivation to conserve resources.

About Me
- Elly@Elly Dreams Green
- I am a Junior at the University of Minnesota Duluth. I love love LOVE the crisp smell that Fall brings, but also need the vitamin D that summer brings. I thoroughly enjoy photography and watching movies. To anyone that likes the outdoors, I'm sure we will get along quite well-- I dig fresh air :) I have a cat named Kozmo, who is quite crazy, and If it were more convenient at this time in my life, i'd have a dog as well. As you might conclude, I am an animal junky.
It looks like this is going to be an interesting book with a large variety of topics. I am sure I will be able to learn a lot from your posts about different types of eating habits! Hopefully I will be inspired to change a few of my eating habit, I definitely do not have the most healthy habits in the world but maybe if I can learn how to eat healthier without it being more expensive I will be able to make some beneficial changes in my life.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like an interesting book. I am not sure what to think about it, I am still a little confused about what exactly it is about. There are a lot of topics in the book so I think it will provide a lot of useful information. I checked out the websites and book reviews brought two sides of the story, some said it was great and others said it was the worst book by the author. I will be curious to hear what you have to say about the book and what you learn.
ReplyDeleteElly, It seems like this book may be an eye-opener later on as you read it. I am interested in what you will have to share about this book. Hopefully I can learn from you as you explore the different topics such as gardening, organic foods, etc. Mary
ReplyDeleteAs everyone keeps saying, this book sounds very interesting! Its kind of cool to be "forced" to read all these different selections. When would we every really take time in our busy lives to read something we can use to learn and make changes for the better? I'm excited to hear what this book will unfold for us to learn from.
ReplyDeleteI liked that you chose the book based on knowledge you don't have about it. It's daring and smart. It's the point of this whole thing isn't it? To learn about something :) It will be interesting to read your posts this semester.
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds like you could learn a lot, especially with all the different topics to cover. I guess it seems like a whole different way to look at farming than I probably would normally. I'm a little bit nervous to read some of your future posts because my family farms! I hope that it's all positive. :) I think that there is a great deal to be said about agriculture and pollutants are something that should be a concern for everybody. I think that this book should be very interesting.
